A cozy cat café in the heart of Prague, where you can enjoy coffee, something tasty and a peaceful moment in the company of our cats.
About the café
Cat Café Prague was created for one simple reason – to offer people a calm place where they can slow down for a while and enjoy the pleasant company of cats.
Their pace of life and their ability to simply be in the moment is exactly what many of us miss in today’s busy world. Being in the same room with a cat is not only about cuddles, but also about calming the mind and relaxing the soul.
Each visitor enters the café at their own responsibility. Cats move freely around the space, so we kindly ask all guests to respect their comfort and the rules of the café.

Our cats
These are the feline members of our café that you can meet during your visit.
Little screamer
Maugli
Soft fur and two white hairs on his head. He is one of the twins who came to us from foster care in Kladno. He loves women and is even wilder than his brother.
Cuddler
Balú
The quieter half of the twin pair, but still ready to support his brother in every bit of mischief. He has three white hairs on his chest and loves a good nap.
Loves fish pouches
Captain
A cuddly tomcat who enjoys spending time around children. He lovingly takes care of the other members of our cat crew.
Belly rubs allowed
Barney
An extra playful ginger boy who was already with us back in our Karlín café days. He is playful, likes children, but do not expect him to sit still quietly during your coffee break.
Sleeping beauty
Matylda
A TV star, a mix of British Shorthair and Maine Coon, and a true heartbreaker. A big sleeper who will not wake up even to the rustle of cat treats. You will usually find her on the couch by the bar.
Loves cat toys
Tisha
A sweet and cheerful lady who joined us in the summer of 2025. She is a little shy around children, but she loves a calm and pleasant coffee moment with you.
Spotted nose
Oliver
A giant ginger boy who really makes an entrance. He is friendly and cuddly. When he jumps, the whole café seems to shake. A true crowd favorite.
Visitor rules
Please respect our cats and the atmosphere of the café. This helps both our guests and our feline residents enjoy their time here.
Cat rules
- Please be gentle with the cats and do not hurt them.
- Do not disturb sleeping cats and do not touch them if you feel they do not want it.
- Please do not use flash photography and do not feed the cats.
- Do not chase the cats around the café. If they do not want to be with you, respect that.
- Please wash your hands before petting the cats.
Parents and children
- Children under 15 may enter only with an adult companion.
- Sleeping cats must not be woken up and children must not run after the cats.
- Do not pick up the cats and do not disturb them while eating or drinking.
- Parents must always accompany children throughout the entire café space.
- For fire safety and general safety reasons, strollers are not allowed inside.
